Are you willing to take the risk of going it alone in a complicated process of achieving meaningful use and obtaining federal incentive funds?
There’s money at stake. We can help you get it. There is federal incentive money on the table from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (stimulus money), but if you don’t convert to an EHR system and achieve “meaningful use” status soon, the available incentive funds begin to dwindle.
EHR vendors are interested in making a profit. Our service goes beyond what makes money for us. Many EHR vendors will claim they can help you, the health care provider, achieve meaningful use status to become eligible for the federal incentive money (usually for a significantly greater cost than is offered by HITArkansas). But the fact is, there’s no reason for a vendor to do this other than to make a sale. And once you have achieved meaningful use, there’s no reason for an EHR vendor to help you maintain that meaningful use status over time. HITArkansas is the state’s federally designated Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center, meaning we are the foremost authority on converting health care providers to EHRs and helping them achieve AND maintain meaningful use status. Unlike EHR vendors, we aren’t simply trying to sell a product; we’re here to be an advocate for health care providers, and we’ll be with you long-term.
There are literally hundreds of EHR vendors out there. Which one should you buy from? Some vendors are reliable, some are not. We’ll help you pick a vendor that will get the job done, and we’ll be there to make sure it gets done right.
The process of achieving meaningful use and obtaining federal incentive funds is a bit complicated. We’ll help you navigate the process with our team of experts, who have been trained by the people who define meaningful use. We’ll help health care providers achieve maximum efficiency while cashing in on federal funding. We serve as a two-way pipeline to the local and federal resources you need for the changing health care landscape.
The money isn’t some ploy by big brother to get access to your records. The incentive money is part of a federal stimulus package designed to help health care providers become more efficient in their record-keeping, from both an expenditure and operations standpoint. A provider’s records won’t be tied to some national database. It just helps you, the provider, serve your patients better.
